Dr. Chitta Ranjan Mishra was born to Late Smt. Parbati Mishra & Late Gayadhar Mishra, a Social & Political Activist, on 2nd June, 1949 in his ancestral village at Bhabanipur, P.O. Ramachandrapur, via. Bari, Dist. Jajpur (Odisha). Dr. Mishra lost his mother in the year 1958 when he was only 10 years old. His Grand Mother Late Smt. Subhadra Devi, with whom Dr. Mishra was deeply attached throughout his life, was practically his mother. Dr. Mishra’s Grand Mother left for her heavenly abode in the year 1984. Dr. Mishra was the eldest of the three siblings followed by two sisters- Gitarani Mishra & Bharati Mishra, who are happily married and are Home Makers.
Dr. Mishra got married to Dr. (Smt.) Prasanna Rath, a Scholar in Sanskrit, who was working in various Govt. & Non-Govt. Colleges of Odisha and retired as the Principal of DGBK College, At/P.O. Kasarda , Dist. Cuttack. Mr. & Mrs. Mishra are blessed with one daughter Shibani, who is a Post Graduate in Medicine from MKCG Medical College, Berhampur (Odisha). Shibani’s husband Dr. Biswajit Dash is also a Medico and is a Post Graduate in Gynaecology (Oncology) from SCB Medical College, Cuttack. Both are serving in Govt. of Odisha. Shibani & Biswajit are blessed with one son named Tejas Talin Dash, who is only one year old.
Dr. Mishra has faced many trials & tribulations in his life.
